The mission of Myparachute includes eliminating the stigma around mental illness and providing education and support for any individual affected by mental health disorders.

“Depression is the most unpleasant thing I have ever experienced.  It is that absence of being able to envision that you will ever be cheerful again.  It is the absence of hope and a is deadened feeling, which is so very different from feeling sad. Sad hurts but it’s a healthy feeling and is a necessary thing to feel. Depression is very different.”
